Valdez was a little surprised when Amy started asking questions in return - and it was a good question too. Of course, before he'd said that he was here to find potential business partners, but now that his true nature had surfaced, of course that excuse had lost it's credibility.

"Well," he started, looking for his words with care, "I wasn't lying when I said I was looking for interesting people, and it is with the intention of a cooberation. But, as you may guess, on quite unusual - inhuman - terms."

He realised he was being fairly abstract, but he did this for a reason. If he told the girl about the City, he would put her in danger after all*.

* Myeah, he's careful not to overthink why the hell he cared.

There was a long moment of silence in which the logs in the fireplace cracked and shifted sending sparks up the chimeny. In this moment of silence Amy just stared at Valdez, expecting/hoping for an answer that actually made sense. When it became clear that answer wasn't going to come without her intervirance she sighed and put a hand to her head.
"Okay what?" she asked, "Could you please be a little less vague?"

"I'm afraid not," Valdez replied, already having seen that question (or something alike) coming. He smiled apologetic and explained; "the vampire community I am a part of is quite restrictive about information sharing... Should I tell you too much, which is pretty much everything apart from what I've told you now, I'd not only put myself but also you in danger."

He then smiled a little grim, some of his darkness returning to him. He didn't say much more though, for the moment.

At that answer Amy let out a sigh and rubbed her forehead. It wasn't that she hadn't seen it coming, she had just hoped that she could have seen through something. Just a hint. She looked at the flames in the fireplace for a moment and then looked back at Valdez. A slightly surprised look on her face that he hadn't asked her a new question about witchcraft yet.
"What no more questions?" she asked, "And if that is so then why haven't you left yet?"

Though he was quite content about Amy not asking any further about vampires, or his business in Great Britain, he soon found himself disappointed by her next words.

Somehow, when the conversation had lost most of its hostility, he'd almost forgotten he was still an unwanted guest that Amy was eager to be rid off. As such he let out a sigh, and pondered it for a moment, trying to recollect if he had any other questions.

"I suppose I don't have any other questions though," he finally concluded, in a sigh. He hessitated for a moment, finally musing: "I suppose that, since I didn't come in through the front door, I shouldn't leave through it either..."

And with a slightly reluctant expression he turned towards the window and pushed it open. He then turned back to Amy and smiled at her in a friendly manner; "thank you kindly for awnsering my questions," he said to her. Then with a small bow he added; "it was quite educational."
Then he stealthily climbed through the window outside - only after checking the streets for passing-by Londoners of course. Before he let himself drop down, to the ground, he did glance at Amy for another moment and remarked (in a tone that seemed very ambigiously in between innocently joking and blamefully mischievous): "you know, it's very rude not to have offered me a drink." And with that he left.

Amy was glad when he said that he had no more questions and started leaving. She was not sure whether she liked it better that he left through the window or through the front door. But when he was already standing in the window she just let it be. But then when he said that it was rude of her not to have offered him a drink she crossed her arms in front of her chest and glared at him. When he had jumped down she walked over to the open window and looked down at him.
"You're right," she answered, "Here have some water."
She made a few gestures to the air and a few moments laters it clouded over and started to rain heavily. She smiled at him, closed and locked the window and then went to bed.

I won't go as far as explaining Valdez reaction to this in detail, as I do not wish to use such appalling words publicly. Suffice to say that some very colorful language came along, and he finally drifted off.

The next day, Amy would be faced with the absence of one of her servants. He was nowhere to be found, and his room was empty too, as if he'd simply disappeared. There was a used towel lying on his bed though, still damp of whatever (or whoever) had been dried off with it. Also, there was an empty cup on his night stand, with a small bottom of dark red fluid in it. There was a note next to it, saying: "muchas gracias por el trago.*."

* "Thank you for the drink."

The next morning when Amy woke up she noticed fast enough that there was something wrong by the servants behaviour. When she learned that one of them had dissapeared she immediately helped along with searching.
Most of the servants went looking outside in gardens while Amy went through his room again. She couldn't really read what was on the note, but after sniffing cup her own blood ran cold. She still didn't really knew what read the note, but she had a fairly good idea. She sat down on the bed until she had composed herself enough and then she called everybody to the entrance hall. There she announced that she quite confident that the missing servant had been murdered.
The family of the servant got informed later that day and Amy send a small fortune to them. She knew he wouldn't have died if it hadn't been for her so she thought it would be the least thing she could do.
Once that had been arranged she gave her servants the rest of the day off so that they could all mourn in their own ways. She retreated herself to her study and there looked up a locater spell, not planning on letting Valdez get away with this. When she had located him she arranged for a carriage to pick her up so that she would arrive at her destination just after sunset.
She took a deep breath and then knocked on the door of the room Valdez should, hopefully still, be in. She would have just walked in like he had done with her, but she very much did not want to risk seeing him while being under dressed.

Valdez was surprised when someone knocked on his door. After a moment, it did cross his mind it might be Amy. Still, he couldn't imagine her at all coming by; he imagined her just being quite glad to be rid of him, even despite the loss of a servant.

And so, having decided that it wouldn't be her at the least, he curiously openend the door. He was fully dressed, fortunatly for her, though he still had his hair loose. His expression darkened with a mixture of disappointment and annoyance. "Oh," he automatically uttered. For a moment he was tempted to add: "go away, I'm not here," but then he decided there actually was something he rather wanted to know. And so, he grinned maliciously informed her: "he may have been a second-rate citizen, but he was a firt-rate
appetizer."

Amy hadn't been planning on making it a long visit, actually hoping to be capable of leaving pretty fast. But then Valdez opened up the door and called her late servant a second rate citizen but a first rate appetizer. She glared at him grabbed his arm and let a current run through him, which would last until he would have pulled himself out of her grip.

Not really expecting any kind of physical attack, Valdez didn't pull away in time to prevent himself from being electrocuted. He let out a small yelp, which he quickly gritted his teeth through not to let out a complete yell; he didn't want to alarm anyone, considering Amy might bring up some difficulties he didn't feel like facing head-on. Also, the next would prove difficult to explain if anyone should turn up; as he sank through his knees, much thanks to Amy's current, he shook her off by shaking his hand violently in one direction, which would have her end up face-first against his doorpost.

Amy hadn't really expected Valdez to sink through his knees, admittedly she wasn't all that experienced with her current spell. It was when Valdez started yanking his arm she let go of him, not wanting to get an impression of the doorpost in her forehead. She still had to catch herself against the doorpost to prevent it from happening still.
It was a vunerable position to be in and she hated it for that. Mainly because she knew no matter how fast she would push off Valdez would probably be ten time faster then her, unless the after effects of the current where slowing him down severly.

After Amy let loose that Valdez saw his oppertunity; the arm that she'd held was still extended to her, and all that was nessecairy was a leap to jump at her throat. Still, in a clear moment he realized he might be risking another shock - admittedly, it hadn't been as bad as he'd expected, but still... not something you'd want to expose yourself to willingly.

Instead he hurled a low kick at her - which was quite easy from his low-to-the-ground position. He aimed for the legs, the inside of Amy's knees to be more precise (I should mention that he intentionally hit her only hard enough to cause her to sink through her knees as well, accompanied by reasonable pain, but nothing of serious damange).

Afterwards he straightened his back in getting up, groaning a little; though he'd anticipated more pain, having a current creep through your body was still far from pleasent.
"Nice," he said in a cold, sarcastic voice, "if I had a nickle for every time someone tried to hurt, kill, and/or maim me...."

It was a relieve to Amy that Valdez didn't jump to her throat, as she had feared. But then he kicked her legs, she had defentily not seen that coming. She felt her legs give out under her and even though she was still holding onto the doorpost it wasn't enough to keep her from falling down and slightly backwards. At the nickle for every time comment Amy glared at Valdez.
"Then you would probably get a fortune tonight," she sneered at him, pushing herself back up as fast as she could manage with her 'fashionable' aka nonfuctional dress.

Valdez pulled an annoyed face, which may have seemed a bit of an understatement as a reaction to someone electrocuting him.

"Explain this to me, if you will," he said, putting his arms over each other and raising a brow at her. "The way I see it, either you're here to kill me - an unlikely achievement - or you thought you could come over here, shock me, and then leave me alive without having to worry about any form of deadly repercussion - an even less likely turn of events. So... How exactly did this go in your mind?"

Amy raised her brows in return at Valdez his question of why she was here. Admittedly it was a valide question, but she was here for a very good reason.
"I'm here because you killed one of my servants," she answered, "and I'm not going to let you just get away with that. And I'm not going to let you do it again to either my servants, my friends or my family or me for that matter."
While talking she had put a hand in a pocket of her dress and now pulled it out and tossed something at Valdez with the word: "Catch".
What she had tossed was a sunstone, a sunstone that was still inactive mind you. So when Valdez would catch it it would just be a small gem to him and nothing more. And if he let it fall to the floor, it would still just be a small gem only now on the floor instead of in his hand.

Valdez' eyes widened when Amy threw the sun stone in his direction. He hadn't a clue what it was but, keeping in mind the sleeping-dust he'd seen her throw at people, he imagined it might not be safe to touch. He wasn't wearing gloves either, so catching it wasn't an option.

As such, the stone just bounced off his chest and fell to the floor. He stared down at it, his expression changing into a frown; it looked like... just a pebble... an ordinairy gem, nothing more. He gave it a little shove with the tip of his shoe, shoving it away from himself a little.

Then he looked up at Amy, raising a brow. "Ok..?" he mumbled cynically and confused.

Amy couldn't deny being a little dissapointed that Valdez hadn't catched the sunstone. Not that it would really matter over a few moments, but still. As the sunstone lay on the floor in between them, she quickly looked either way to make sure that they where alone. Seeing no one around she looked back at him a small dark smile curled the corners of her lips upwards.
"Wake up," was the only thing she said and also the only thing that needed to be said.
The sunstone started to glow as soon as the words where spoken. Faintly at first but getting brighter fast, much like a lightbulb being turned on. Until it was glowing with almost the same intensity and strenght of the actual sun.

Valdez blinked at the sunstone for a moment, but then - as he realized this lighting was only getting brighter and was starting to hurt his eyes and burning his skin, he averted his eyes. Shielding his face with his arms, and backing away, he tried to get away from the unpleasent exposure as good as possible.

By the time the stone had reached full intensity, he was already with his back against the wall, groaning in pain. "You dirty little... what is that thing?!"

As Valdez started to back away Amy picked up the sunstone, holding it carefully between her fingers making sure she blocked as little as possible of the light. Then she took a few steps so that she was inside the room and closing the door behind her. As much as she didn't like being in one room with an evil dark haired vampire, she hated the idea of someone walking in on her while using magic.
"It's a sunstone," she answered from the otherside of the room, "a natural gem that with the right magic can lid up just like the sun. And I can just put it here on a table and walk away and it will just keep on shining until I tell it too stop."

"Put it away!" Valdez commanded, in something between a hiss and a groan. At this stage he was trying to distance himself from the stone, though obviously there was little space for him to venture to. Another thing he did, quite subconciously, was to hide inside and behind the fabric of his clothing. Again, this proved to little avail compared to the bright shine of the sun stone.
The light burned his skin, which showed as it was already turning an irritated shade of red. It also prevented him from opening his eyes, as the light litterary blinded him whenever he tried.

Feeling quite vulnerable and humiliated he started negotiating; "stop it already! I swear I'll never bother you again."

Amy couldn't say that she was enjoying the sight of a vampire slowly getting burned by the power of her sunstone. In fact she was very ill at ease about it and actually just wanted to look away or just leave all together, but she didn't. She felt that because she was responsible for it that she had to be present through it as well.
When Valdez promised that he would leave her alone if she would stop the stone she raised her brows.
"I'll stop if you will not only leave me alone," she answered, "but also my family, my friends and my staff. And if I find out or even just suspect that you broke that promise I will hunt you down and will burn you to ashes with my sunstones. Am I clear?"
