Name: Florance
Gender: female
Species: Cruxix
Age: ±1600 years
- Apparent age: 24 years
Appearance:
- Height: 5 ft 3 (160 cm)
- Physique: slender
- Hair color: silver grey
- Eye Color: red
History: there’s a bit too much of it to go into detail so… suffice to say she was turned into a vampire a long time ago, before the Kingdom of Afallon as it is known now, even existed. For her first couple of centuries she lived and laughed along with a small group of other vampires, some of which later became founders of the great vampire city. She did actually help with the start of the City, but parted from the group before it was much more than an expanded underground village, deciding to travel the world. She returned after many a year to find her old friends and lived in the City for several years happily. Still, after another century there the walls of the cave, no matter how spacious, started closing in around her free spirit and she decided to venture out once more. During this travel she underwent a fundamental change however; slowly but surely she became more (or less, depending on your point of view) than a mere vampire. As she realized the nature of her new form, a vampire who feeds on vampires, a Cruxix, she didn’t return to the City again, not wanting to risk the safety of her old friends. And so she became a permanent nomad, traveling the lands until the end of her days.
Personality: a free spirit, open for new experiences and alternative ways of thinking. She doesn’t like rules a lot, from laws to social conventions – a character trait that was only exacerbated by years of traveling on her own. She is usually cheerful and upbeat and optimistic. Unfortunately, a side-effect of her great age is that her mind is slowly unweaving (or so she says), a process that she poetically refers to as the ‘Cruxix curse’. To put it unpleasantly; she is slowly going mad, in the sense of becoming forgetful and from suffering mood-swings or even hallucinations, just to name a few symptoms. She insists that it would happen to anyone, as they reach an age too high, as no mind is meant to live forever. Whether this grim idea is true, is yet to be seen…
Special: her gift is yet unknown.
